The festive season is the biggest time of year for our friends at Celebrations, and after such a successful 2022 and 2023 with our previous activations, we embraced the challenge of continuing the upward trend in 2024.

See how we developed a fresh approach for Tesco with Celebrations' biggest activation to date. Plus, a look at how we created different ways to win for Asda and Co-op shoppers.

CHALLENGE
With ambitious growth goals, Celebrations came to us to see where we should go next with their exclusive Christmas activation at Tesco.
​
Building on the success of last year’s Christmas campaign, the team wanted to bring even more feel-good moments to fans by increasing the number of guaranteed wins to 500,000.
​
With a new look and all-year-round approach in store, we explored how this activation would fit with the new Celebrations identity, whilst also standing out against the brand focused POS identity.

THE BIG IDEA
Insights revealed that Celebrations fans have their own favourite in the tub. Instead of focusing on the single Bounty brand, we could create a promotional campaign that would capture the joy of all Celebrations fans... whether they’re a Bounty lover, or not, putting the focus on sharing the enjoyment at Christmas.

By going back to brand, we created a campaign that brought Celebrations fans together with their favourite people during the festive season. We offered 500,000 possible winning moments through a Golden Ticket Tub Treasure Hunt.

OUR APPROACH
The iconic Celebrations branding gave us a great starting point to jump into creating a really vibrant and dynamic look and feel.
​
We used the iconic Celebrations tub as the catalyst for ways to "WIN with Your Favourites". A vibrant and dynamic look and feel with exploding golden ticket, bonkers pattern and chocolates, captures the excitement of the winning opportunities for Tesco shoppers.
​
In store we brought the activation to life with theatrical front of store displays, aisle and bay takeovers, animated digital displays, and the usual POS materials to further drive conversion, turning shoppers into winners.

Out-of-store we drove awareness with animated digital posters and a huge window wrap takeover at Tesco’s flagship London store that was impossible to miss.
​
Once again we utilised the Tesco travelling Christmas market, this time featuring an interactive Spin to Win game. This created a buzz around the winning moments and got shoppers excited about sharing the festive feeling with their loved ones.

For Co-op, we offered customers an incredible incentive to purchase Celebrations with the Countdown to Christmas. By simply scanning a QR code, customers could enter to win daily prizes, including gift cards and tech gadgets.

Asda
Our initial idea for Asda was to give shoppers the chance to treat their favourites with Celebrations and win their entire shop for free. This evolved into an exciting prize opportunity: a chance to win a £100 Asda gift voucher, giving winners the freedom to spend in-store however they choose. The simple buy, scan, and enter mechanic made it easy for customers to participate.
